Description:
In 1597, Shakespeare buys "New Place", a dilapidated mansion in Stratford, leaving wife Anne and older brother Gilbert to do the restoration. She hires flamboyant decorator Robert Osric, while Gilbert manages the finances.

From the start, the project is beset by problems: an incompetent laborer, a flooded basement, a conniving thief, an extravagant designer, younger brother Edmund squandering his time and their money writing his own fantasy play, and even a ghost that haunts the Blue Parlor.

The Shakespeare's are destined for bankruptcy, until Anne steps in to untangle the web that her peers wove. But the Ghost and the Curse of the Blue Parlor do not rest easily.
